The Franchise Service provides a licence for each franchisee to trade in property management services under the banner of Castle Estates. Prior to the granting of this licence new franchisees first undertake a very intensive initial training course lasting up to 20 days and usually spread over 6 weeks.
After the introduction to the system and the training course, the new franchise holder will embark upon our comprehensive system, which is heavily centred around visiting and joining in the day to day activities in well established Castle Estates offices, which is interspersed with days centred around different aspects of the lettings industry.
The full recruitment process usually takes between 3-6 months, though a fast track approach can be adopted for franchisees in a position to move more quickly. Only after several meetings and completing a detailed territory research pack does any firm commitment take place, and even then on the part of the franchisee this is usually only an indication of intent.
Castle Estates has always believed in being very selective in the number of franchisees accepted into its network and only considers serious applications from around 8-10 prospective franchisees each year and our full research manual is only issued to these enquirers. Unlike some property management franchisors, Castle Estates has no plans or desire to take on unrealistic numbers of new franchisees each year who, in simple truth, cannot subsequently be adequately supported.
This controlled expansion programme allows maximum concentration on and support of new franchisees and providing them with a comprehensive training and support programme guarantees them the best possible chance of success. Further support is also given (subject to location) by one of our business partners providing instructions on properties owned by their Corporate Client Landlords such as flats over banks or off licences for tenant find services. This can provide a valuable income stream, often during the early months following initial launch, which is of course when the business most needs such support.

The franchise fee to obtain all these benefits and much more is £25,000 plus VAT and this overall initial payment to Castle Estates includes all the items listed below.
This investment provides a new Franchisee with a complete starter pack of letterheads, business cards, compliment slips, 'To Let' boards in both traditional and laminated styles plus all contracts and notices relating to property management. Much of this material is of course in the File Library in the Members Section of this site, so a Castle Estates Franchisee has everything they need to succeed on day one of trading.
Also included in the initial payment are other items essential to the operation of a professional, modern property management company, including a full web site, email on our own server to maximize net security prevent virus attacks, membership of property advertising portals, , professional indemnity and fidelity premiums and the first year fee for data processing registration. The payment also includes the initial purchase, installation, and training for your property management software package.
